‍For the first time in recent memory, there are questions surrounding Alabama football that preclude it from being viewed as the favorite for a national championship as it almost annually has been since Nick Saban’s arrival. That is relative, of course, because, while Alabama likely won’t be the preseason No. 1 team in the country, it’s still going to start in the top five, I’d imagine. Again, everything is relative, but when you’re Alabama and have achieved as much as it has over the last 15 years, expectations are rather high.
