Complete Performance Opens DeBoer Era

Alabama Wide Receiver Kendrick Law (1) runs the ball against Western Kentucky University at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, Aug 31, 2024.

It didn’t start out great.

A thunderstorm out of nowhere kept the usual depth of people away from the team’s arrival at the Walk of Champions entrance to the stadium. The starting left tackle was a scratch due to an injury sustained during pregame. And the offense went three and out on the first series.

But that’s about all that went wrong in Kalen DeBoer’s debut at Alabama in a 63-0 beatdown of Western Kentucky. The offense put up 600 total yards with a balanced attack of a two-headed running back attack and a quarterback who still has a deadly deep ball.
