A Few Players Turning Heads This Spring
It’s a decent time to take stock about what we know and what we think we know with the second scrimmage coming Saturday. This is an inexact science as this team is still in the early stages of coming together, mixing newcomers with veterans and projecting growth from just 10 practices.
This is a talented roster, but will it be as talented a team? That remains to be seen. A lot of that will involve players filling and accepting roles and the team chemistry developing. There’s also the reality of the transfer portal, which opens again on the 15th. So there’s a ways to go before we start to get a good handle of what this team will be before the season-opener.
However, current players are making impressions now. The coaching staff is already learning which players have a chance at making a contribution on this year’s team and which players are more developmental in their current stage.
With that said, here are a few players who’ve had a strong spring so far.
